WBC athlete selected as AMCS Pitcher of the Week

Tricia Driver of Williams Baptist College has been selected as the American Midwest Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week, according to the league office.

Driver, a freshman from Montgomery, Tex., etched her name in the WBC record books with her performance in the Eagles’ 7-0 win over Stephens College on April 6. Driver tossed the first seven-inning perfect game in team history, striking out 14 batters in the process.

For the season, Driver has a season record of 7-5 with an earned-run average of 2.36. She leads the team in victories, as well as strikeouts with 58.
