Annual Greene County Farm Bureau meeting Tuesday
The Greene County Farm Bureau will host its annual meeting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church Multi-Ministry Center, located at 300 W. Third in Paragould.
The meeting will include dinner, door prize drawings, sew-with-cotton participants and fashion show, election of the board of directors and the introduction of the Greene County Farm Family of the Year. Entertainment will be provided by John Williams. Rep. Marion Berry will be the guest speaker. Tickets are $5 each and may be picked up at the Farm Bureau office or from a county board member.
Paragould school district to host open houses
The Paragould school district will host new student orientation and open houses in the next two weeks.
Paragould Junior High School will host new student orientation from 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the PHS auditorium. The Junior High School will also host open house from 6-7:30 p.m. Aug. 20.
Baldwin Elementary, Oak Grove Elementary and Woodrow Wilson Elementary will host open houses Aug. 17. Open house for kindergarten and first grade will be at 5 p.m., and open house for second, third and fourth grades will be at 5 p.m.
CRDC Summer Regular Program closed
As of Aug. 6, the Summer Regular Program for utility assistance closed at Crowley’s Ridge Development Council. However, the Summer Crisis Program is still running. You must have a shut-off notice or already be disconnected to apply for this program. Applications are accepted from 8:30 a.m. to noon and 1-3 p.m. Monday and Wednesday. This program is for electric bills only. For more information, call (870) 239-3531 or visit the Greene County CRDC office at 144 Linwood Drive.
