Upper Room Church to host community Thanksgiving service
The Upper Room Church will host a community Thanksgiving service at 6 p.m. Nov. 22.
The service is held jointly with the Buck Donic, First Baptist, Upper Room and Forest Groves churches of Cardwell, Mo.
Operation ‘Christmas Child’ sets collection dates
Operation Christmas Child will collect shoe box gifts Nov. 16-23 at East Side Baptist Church.
Shoe box gifts involve packing a shoe box with personal care items, school supplies, toys, hard candy, games, socks and other items. Individuals are also encouraged to put a note in the box to share a personal message with the child who will receive the gift. A gospel message is also included with each shoe box.

Victory Temple hosts gospel singing
Victory Temple will host gospel singing at 6:30 p.m. today at the church, which is located at 127 Road and Highway 135 North. A potluck will be served after the singing.

Forest Grove Baptist to celebrate Harvest Day
Forest Grove Baptist Church of Cardwell, Mo., will celebrate Harvest Day beginning with a Sunday school service at 10 a.m. Sunday followed by a worship service at 11 a.m., then a fellowship and potluck meal and an afternoon music service at 1:30 p.m.
Everyone is welcome.
Vines Chapel Baptist presents Gloryland
The Vines Chapel Baptist Church will present Gloryland in concert at 7 p.m. Saturday.
Griffin Memorial to host holiday bazaar
The Griffin Memorial United Methodist Church will host a holiday bazaar from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at the church, located at 524 E. Court St.
A dinner of beans and cornbread will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for a charge of $5.
There will be cakes, pies, candles, cookies, relishes, jellies and crafts of all kinds available to purchase.
