One Nation Under GodJim Largent, commander of American Legion Adams Jackson Post 17 in Paragould, traces the history of the Pledge of Alligance and its meaning for the Paragould Exchange Club during its One Nation Under God program held last week. November is One Nation Under God month. Largent also addressed the Greene County Tech Veterans Day program on Nov. 9, participated in the Veterans Day parade on Nov. 11, and hosted the Legion's commemoration at the old Greene County Courthouse on Nov. 12.
Andee Eades, third-grader at Crowley's Ridge Academy, is this year's winner of the Greene County Conservation District's poster contest. This year's theme was "Healthy Soils are Full of Life." Posters are judged on the following criteria: correct theme "conservation message," visual effectiveness, originality, and universal appeal. Andee is the daughter of Adam and Lindsey Eades of Paragould.
