Gators compete in conference finals

The Gators' Alyssa Reece and Shelby Adams (right) shared high-point honors in the girls' 15-18 age division at the South Wind Conference swim finals held at Batesville last weekend. Reece, a 2017 GCT graduate, will be headed this fall to Ouachita Baptist University where she has signed to swim and run cross country.

Allred, GMC blank Russellville

Paragould's Ethan Allred throws to the plate in a baseball game earlier this season. Allred went the distance in a 10-0 run-rule win over Russellville in the American Legion AAA state tournament at Conway. Paragould resumes play Thursday night, facing Fort Smith at Hendrix College.

Nichols signs with Pioneers

Riverside High School graduate Preston Nichols signed to play baseball and golf at CRC during a ceremony Tuesday at the college.
