Lentz 'excited' for All-Star weekend

Tournament champs

Paragould's 5-6 year-old T-Ball All-Stars -- the Lumberjacks -- won the Cal Ripken District championship last weekend in Pocahontas. The Lumberjacks defeated the host team 18-2 in the semifinals Sunday, then took a 20-13 victory over Osceola (Predmore) in championship game. They next play in the Cal Ripken state T-Ball tournament this weekend at Osceola. Team members are (from left): front -- Paxton McGowan, Carson Grimes, Jace Runyan, Bradek Smith, Kolt Blake, Jett Driskill, Miles Mann, Boyd McNeil, Wrigley Ferguson, Bryson Hampton, Barrett Herget and Arya Patel; and back -- coaches Jimmy Smith, Brandon McNeil, Aaron Ferguson and Matt McGowan. Paragould players chosen to the All-Tournament team at Pocahontas included: Paxton McGowan, Boyd McNeil, Bradek Smith, Miles Mann, Carson Grimes and Bryson Hampton.
