The Paragould Rams won a see-saw game over Blytheville on Wednesday after scoring two runs in the fifth to erase an 7-6 deficit and defeating the Chickasaws 8-7 in high school baseball.
Derek Shollenbarger and Nash Davis each had three hits for the Rams.
A three-run first put Paragould on top early, 3-1. Blytheville regained the lead thanks to a 5-run second. The Rams got a run back in its second and added two more in the third to tie the game, 6-6. The Chicks retook the lead with a single run in the fifth, only to see Paragould rally for two in the home half of the frame, and the lead stood up for the Rams.
Davis came on in relief in the fifth and shut out the Chickasaws the rest of the way, earning a save. Starter and winning pitcher Matt Lawrence struck out four in 42/3 innings.
Shollenbarger also drove in two runs, as did Davis and Brad Norman.
Skyler Easley, Lawrence, Pappas Estrada, Norman (double) and Jas Malone collected one hit each.
Today, the Rams are scheduled to host Valley View for senior day.
