Homegrown by Heroes Scholarships
The Arkansas Department of Agriculture and Farm Credit Associations of Arkansas are partnering to provide two $1,000 Homegrown by Heroes academic scholarships to military veterans and active military personnel, their spouses, and children who are pursuing a degree in agriculture. Funding for the scholarships is generously provided by Farm Credit.
Applications are due March 26, 2021 and are available at agriculture.arkansas.gov/arkansas-department-of -agriculture-programs.
Post 2242 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars will be collecting donations for the homeless on March 27 in front of the Wal-Mart Super Center in Paragould from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Items the post is seeking include toothpaste, tooth brushes, soap, deodorant, hand sanitizer, sanitary wipes and similar personal hygiene products. The post also seeks to provide sleeping bags. And the post will gladly accept cash donations for items that cannot be bought locally.
ASO Masterworks Series ‘Around the World’The Arkansas Symphony Orchestra presents the third concert of the 2020-2021 Stella Boyle Smith Masterworks Series. Around the World will be streamed from the Robinson Center on March 27 at 7:30 p.m. and March 28 at 3 p.m. Due to health and safety precautions, the program will be presented virtually, available for a minimum donation of $10.

Bible Baptist Church, located at 304 East Vine, in Paragould, has revival scheduled for Sunday, March 28 at 6 p.m., and Monday-Wednesday, March 29-31 at 7 p.m.
