A crash Tuesday in Clay County resulted in the death of a Reyno, Arkansas resident.

Leslie Dunlap, 63, was traveling east on State Highway 328 at County Road 135 when the 2009 Chevrolet he was driving struck a farm implement being pulled by a John Deere tractor headed west.

The crash occurred at 8:37 p.m. Weather conditions were clear and road conditions were dry, according to Arkansas State Police.

An early morning crash on Highway 63 in Sedgwick on Tuesday claimed the life of a Pocahontas man.

Jeffrey Watson, 39, of Pocahontas, died when his 2018 Jeep Cherokee crossed into the turning lane and hit a 2016 Ford F150 that was stopped and waiting to turn, according to state police.

The Ford was driven by Jose Arriaza, 35, of Jonesboro, who was listed as injured in the crash, along with passengers Sayra Lopez, 37, Kenya Lopez, 41, Ever Lopez, 24, and Josue Pozo, 35, all of Jonesboro.

Emergency personnel were dispatched to the scene near the Highway 228 intersection, in front of the Sedgwick Post Office, at 6:48 a.m.

Units from Sedgwick and Walnut Ridge worked the scene and had traffic rerouted down Highway 228 by 7:30 a.m. The scene was all clear by 7:55 a.m.
