BRTC CTC hosts AGFC guest speaker

AGFC employee Carissa Dougherty helps BRTC CTC welding student Blake Steimel hold a baby alligator during her visit to the school.

Black River Technical College Career and Technical Center recently hosted Arkansas Game and Fish Commission (AGFC) employee Carissa Dougherty, who works specifically at the Forrest L. Woods Nature Center in Jonesboro.

Dougherty visited with students at both BRTC locations in Pocahontas and Paragould, sharing the various employment opportunities offered by the AGFC. She also shared her educational background, experience in the AGFC, and how she began as a volunteer with the organization before working her way up to full-time educator.
