BRTC’s CCE Department hosts kite flying event

Small flyers at the recent BRTC kite flying event included Cullum, Sadie, Brody, and Parker White and Staley Weber.

Black River Technical College’s Corporate and Community Education Department hosted a kite flying event recently.

Adults and children started the day by learning about the various types of kite designs and how to fly them. Participants then assembled a kite and took it outside to fly it.

Priscilla Stillwell, executive director of Paragould operations, said, “The history of kites is centuries old. They have been used for weather analysis, flight, war and more. Sometimes it is just nice to have fun. Kites can do that, too!”

For more information about upcoming Corporate and Community Education events, contact Director Stillwell by phone at 870-239-0969, ext. 5101 or by email at priscilla.stillwell@ blackrivertech.edu.
