The city of Paragould has announced the changes it will implement in its sanitation schedule for the Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s holidays.

The city will not pick up trash on Thursday Nov. 25 (Thanksgiving). Instead, it will pick up trash normally scheduled for Wednesday (Nov. 24) and Thursday (Nov. 25) on Wednesday, Nov. 24. Trash pickup for Friday, Nov. 26 will be as normally scheduled.

Trash pickup for Tuesday, Dec. 21 will instead take place on Monday, Dec. 20. Similarly, trash collection for Wednesday through Friday (Dec. 22-24) will take place a day early: Wednesday’s trash collection will take place Tuesday, Dec. 21. Thursday’s will take place on Wednesday, Dec. 22. As city offices will be closed (and non-emergency services unavailable) on Thursday, Dec. 23 and Friday Dec. 24 (Christmas Eve), trash pickup for Friday will instead take place on Monday, Dec. 27.

City offices will be closed on New Year’s Eve (and non-emergency services will be unavailable). Therefore, trash collection for Friday, Dec. 31 will instead take place on Monday, Jan. 3. Trash collection for Tuesday, Dec. 28 through Thursday, Dec. 30 will follow the normal schedule.
