Commemorating service on Patriots Day

John Powers (left), a World War II Army veteran of the Pacific Theater from 1943 to 1946 in the Philippines, received a certificate and a statue commemorating his Army service as a T / 5 from Army Command Sgt. Maj. (retired) Edd Cameron of Veterans Helping Veterans of Northeast Arkansas. With Powers is wife Ann Powers and fellow veteran Johnny Broadway, an Army Private 1st Class from 1953-55 during the Cold War. Powers and Broadway were among five veterans so honored by Veterans Helping Veterans on Patriots Day at Glen Sain GMC.
