The Greene County Circuit Court has accepted pleas or otherwise adjudicated the following criminal cases, as indicated below:

Vanessa R. Denton, 28, has negotiated a plea of guilty to a charge of one count of theft by receiving of property valued between $1,000 and $5,000, a Class D felony. In return, she did not face prosecution on other charges. She was sentenced to 36 months (less 81 days credit for time served) in the Arkansas Department of Corrections (ADC), any unserved portion of which was suspended provided she follows the terms of the suspension. She was also ordered to pay $440 in costs and fees plus a monthly payment plan fee of $5. If her suspension is vacated, she could be sentenced to up to nine years in the ADC and/or fined up to $30,000.

Robert Michael Lutz, 40, has negotiated a plea of guilty to charges of one count each of failure to stop after an accident resulting in injury or death and second-degree battery, both Class D felonies. He was sentenced to 120 days (less 92 days credit for time served) in the Greene County Detention Center, 72 months in the ADC (all of which was suspended, contingent upon his adhering to the suspension’s terms) and 60 months probation. He was also fined $1,000, ordered to pay $440 in costs and fees, monthly fees of $5 for a payment plan and $35 for probation supervision, and restitution in an amount to be determined at an Oct. 5 hearing. Revocation of his suspension could result in his being sentenced to up to six years in the ADC and/or fined up to $10,000. Revocation of his probation could result in a sentence of up to six years (less 120 days credit for time served), a fine of up to $9,000 or both.

Todd Lee Hagood, 42, has negotiated a plea of guilty to a charge of one count of theft of property valued between $5,000 and $25,000, a Class C felony. He was sentenced to 60 months probation, fined $1,000, ordered to give a DNA sample and ordered to pay $690 in costs and fees, plus monthly fees of $35 for probation supervision and $5 for a payment plan. If his probation is revoked he could face up to 10 years in the ADC, a fine of up to $9,000 or both.

Bennie Lee Clements, 42, has negotiated a plea of guilty to charges of one count each of breaking or entering and possession of less than two grams of a Schedule I/II controlled substance (methamphetamine or cocaine), both Class D felonies; plus a misdemeanor charge. He was sentenced to 120 days (less 106 days credit for time served) in the Greene County Detention Center and 48 months probation. He was also ordered to pay $565 in costs and fees, plus monthly fees of $35 for probation supervision and $5 for a payment plan. Revocation of his probation could result in his being sentenced to up to 12 years in the ADC and/or a fine of up to $20,000.

Branden Cooper, 18, has negotiated a plea of guilty to a charge of one count of theft by receiving of property valued between $5,000 and $25,000, a Class C felony. He was sentenced to time served (60 days) in the Greene County Detention Center and to 48 months probation. He was also ordered to give a DNA sample, fined $500, and ordered to pay $690 in costs and fees plus monthly fees of $5 for a payment plan and $35 for probation supervision. If he does not obey the terms of his probation he could face up to 10 years (less 61 days credit for time served) in the ADC and/or a fine of up to $9,500.
