A head-on collision on Highway 49 in Greene County on Monday afternoon resulted in the death of a Rector woman.

According to information from the Arkansas State Police, the Paragould Police Department and the Paragould Fire Department, Janet Renee Gunn, 57, of Rector, died when a southbound 2003 Dodge Ram driven by a minor reportedly crossed the centerline of the highway south of Purcell Road to strike her northbound 2011 Chevrolet Impala head-on. The collision occurred at 4:03 p.m.
