A Mountain View man faces a felony drug charge after his arrest in Paragould on Thursday.
Police made contact with Robert Lesley, 30, at 2:30 a.m. while in a vehicle in the parking lot of a closed business.
According to an affidavit for arrest, officers found out Lesley was a parole absconder after he had initially given them a false date of birth. During a search, police found a small quantity of methamphetamine, marijuana, and a glass pipe, according to the affidavit.
Lesley faces charges of possession of a controlled substance, a Class D felony, and misdemeanor charges of possession of a controlled substance and obstructing governmental operations.
His bond was set at $25,000.
A Paragould man faces felony drug charges after a near vehicle crash according to an affidavit for arrest.
Michael Johnson, 31, was arrested by Officer Hunter Matheny after Matheny reports that he saw a vehicle Johnson was a passenger in, turn into oncoming traffic on West Kingshighway on Wednesday, almost causing an accident.
When Matheny made contact with the occupants of the vehicle he learned that Johnson had an active warrant for failure to appear with the city of Paragould, and that he was on active probation and had a search waiver on file.
During a search in the area of the vehicle where Johnson was sitting, officers found .1 grams of methamphetamine, according to the affidavit.
Johnson faces a charge of possession of a controlled substance, a Class D felony.
His bond was set at $15,000.
