Lodge 87 of the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) in Paragould, will host its first-ever car show on Saturday, Oct. 16, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Reynolds Park, 3307 Reynolds Park Road.
According to information made available by Paragould Police Cpl. Carlon Chipman and Detective Sgt. Robert Sexton of the FOP, the event will have food and fun for the entire family, including free popcorn and a free bounce house.
Vendors are also welcome but limited space is available. The FOP will also be hosting a silent auction for the event.
Entry fee for the car show is $20, with $10 for each additional entry. Those wishing to pre-register can do so for $15. Entries will compete for a $300 Best of Show award and trophy and a $300 People’s Choice award and trophy. There will also be a trophy for the Kid’s Choice award.
“Even if you don’t have a vehicle to enter, come see us anyway,” Chipman said. “It doesn’t cost anything to look, and it might just give you the inspiration for a parent/grandparent and child project.”
The FOP will also be cooking hot dogs, burgers, cheeseburgers, nachos, and barbecue sandwiches, as well as serving chips and cold drinks.
Anyone wishing more information or to pre-register should contact Chipman at 870-450-1982 or Sheila Robertson at 870-239-7564. Interested individuals can also follow the event on Facebook at Paragould FOP Car Show.
