A group of Paragould First United Methodist Church (FUMC) mental-healthcare workers seeks to support members of the community experiencing despair, anxiety, or exhaustion.

The group wishes to offer its services to healthcare workers, educators, and others needing a place of rest and support. As a result, a monthly service on the second Tuesday of the month will take place at 5:30 p.m. in the church sanctuary. Dates and topics are:

Oct. 12 “Compassion Fatigue”

Nov. 9 “Resilience in Trying Times”

Dec. 14 “Grief and the Holidays”

Services will include silence, prayer, and mental health tips. Professional counselors will be available for one-on-one conversations if needed. Participants are encouraged to invite others who might need a special place of worship or support.

Paragould FUMC is located at 404 W. Main St. Anyone seeking further information may call the church at 870-239-8541.
