In its Monday update, the Arkansas Department of Health reported 945 new cases of COVID-19.

There were 12,488 active cases in the state Monday, with 786 hospitalized, which was up 45 from Sunday.

A total of 116 patients were on ventilators Monday, which was up 13 from Sunday, and deaths added Monday totaled 23. There have been 2,108 deaths in Arkansas due to the pandemic, and a total of 122,811 cases in the state with 99,861 recoveries.

The Health Department reported that the top counties for new cases are Pulaski, 128; Washington, 79; Independence, 75; Sebastian, 56; and Benton, 49.

Health Department numbers Monday showed there have been 1,932 total cumulative cases in Greene County, and that there are 230 current active confirmed cases, and 85 probable cases. There have been 21 confirmed COVID-19 deaths in Greene County and two probable deaths due to the virus.

“We continue to see a high level of hospitalizations across the state. This increase can affect everyone, even those who have not contracted COVID-19,” Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson said in a prepared statement Monday. “We all have a responsibility to our friends, family, and neighbors to do our part as we fight this virus.”
