The Freedom Crusade will take place today through Saturday, Oct. 2, in the B.C. Lloyd building at the Greene County Fairgrounds in Paragould.

“The purpose is to rally, first, our local community,” said State Rep. Jimmy Gazaway (R-57th District, including Paragould), “and ultimately our state and the nation back to Christian values.”

The event starts at 7 p.m. each night.

Gazaway said speakers will include State Rep. Brandt Smith (R-58th District, including Jonesboro), State Sen. Jason Rapert (R-35th District, including Faulkner and Perry Counties) who is running for lieutenant governor, and Gazaway himself.

“Brandt will be speaking on Thursday,” Gazaway said, “Jason on Friday and I will be speaking on Saturday.”

In addition, Keith Morris of Paragould will be leading the praise music portion of the crusade.

The event is free and everyone is welcome.
