A $25,000 bond has been set for a Greene County man arrested this month in connection with the theft of a truck, according to Paragould police.
Chris Worsham, 37, of Paragould was arrested March 9 on suspicion of theft of property over $25,000 and theft of property $1,000 to $5,000 after an investigation.
According to a probable cause affidavit, officers went to a South Eighth Avenue location March 8 after getting a call about a stolen vehicle with a 16-foot trailer attached.
As police were talking with the victim, a Greene County sheriff’s deputy found the truck at County Road 762 and County Road 732.
Officers later spoke with Worsham. Worsham told police that he had gotten the truck from a family member and that the trailer was dropped off in Brookland, according to the affidavit.
However, deputies found out that the victim did not know Worsham and that the victim did not give Worsham permission to have the vehicle, the affidavit noted.
Worsham was arrested and taken to the Greene County jail. Police said during a Mirandized interview, he gave incriminating statements.
Worsham was being held in the Greene County jail, awaiting a circuit court date in the case.
