Police have arrested a Paragould man for allegedly threatening to blow up his place of employment.
They arrested Jarrod M. Loerch, 19, on a charge of one count of terroristic threatening, a Class D felony.
According to a probable cause affidavit sworn by Detective Cpl. Tron Beesley, the arrest took place on Sept. 1 after officers had responded to Utility Trailer, 2921 Highway 49 North, regarding an employee making threats. When they arrived, they made contact with the employee, Loerch, who reportedly told the officers he had made threats to blow up Utility Trailer.
During an interview before which he was advised of his rights to remain silent and to have an attorney present under questioning, Loerch allegedly told the officers he was going to blow the facility up with composition C4, a plastic explosive.
Loerch is being held in the Greene County Detention Center on a $10,000 cash-only bond, conditioned on his having no contact with Utility Trailer.
