A Greene County man was being held without bond Friday after his arrest on suspicion of multiple counts of rape, according to Paragould police.
Randy Gatlin, 31, of Paragould was arrested March 9 on suspicion of four counts of rape, two counts of computer exploitation of a child, sexual indecency with a child and possession of a firearm by certain persons.
Police said in a probable cause affidavit that officers received a complaint this month, alleging an inappropriate relationship between Gatlin and the victim in the case.
Officers began their investigation and collected multiple pieces of evidence.
Police later did a consent/probation and parole search of a residence where Gatlin was and found a shotgun on the floor, next to his bed, the affidavit noted.
He was later interviewed and waived his Miranda rights, police said. During the interview, police also said Gatlin made several incriminating statements.
Gatlin was being held in the Greene County jail, awaiting a March 13 circuit court hearing.
