Arkansas’ total number of COVID-19 confirmed and probable cases surpassed 90,000 on Thursday.

The Arkansas Department of Health reported 1,265 new cases, bringing the total to 90,145 in the state.

There are 7,070 active cases with 547 hospitalized, which is up 9 from Wednesday. A total of 103 patients are on ventilators, which is up 5 from Wednesday. Deaths due to the virus added Thursday were 21, for a total of 1,503.

The Health Department reports that the top counties in the state for new cases are Pulaski, 84; Washington, 61; Sebastian, 60; Craighead, 51; and Benton, 48.

“We continue to see high levels of community spread across Arkansas,” Gov. Asa Hutchinson said in a prepared statement on Thursday. “While I see so many Arkansans doing the right thing by wearing a mask, keeping their distance, and avoiding large gatherings, I know that it will take everyone working together to defeat this virus.”

Information from the Arkansas Department of Health on Thursday showed Greene County with 946 confirmed cases and 49 probable; 87 active confirmed cases and 14 probable; 844 recovered confirmed cases and 35 probable; and 15 confirmed deaths due to the virus.
