A one-vehicle crash claimed the life of a Lawrence County man Saturday.

Donald C. Hackworth, 76, of Hoxie, was traveling north on U.S. Highway 63 when the 2019 Ford F150 he was driving crossed the center turn lane, both southbound lanes, and left the roadway on the westbound side, according to a preliminary crash report from Arkansas State Police.

The vehicle struck a utility pole and a large tree, according to the report.

The crash happened at 11:03 a.m. north of Sedgwick in Lawrence County.

State police report that it was raining and road conditions were wet at the time of the crash.
