A domestic disturbance has led to the arrest of one of the participants on felony charges.
Police arrested Brandy Daniell Leisure, 41, of Paragould, on charges of one count each of second-degree domestic battery, a Class C felony; and terroristic threatening, a Class D felony.
According to a probable cause affidavit sworn by Detective Cpl. Tron Beesley, the arrest occurred as the result of a Sept. 24 incident in which officers were dispatched to an apartment at 304 Reynolds Road in response to the disturbance. Upon their arrival, they contacted Leisure, who told them she had gotten into an argument with the victim, who is 67 years old. The officers noted that the victim had a minor injury to one forearm. The victim related to the officers that Leisure had grabbed the forearm, and had said “I will ... kill you.”
Leisure remains in the Greene County Detention Center on a $10,000 cash-only bond, conditioned upon her having no contact with the victim.
