In unrelated incidents, police have arrested two people on felony charges.

In one incident, they arrested Camrynn Paige McDonald, 20, of Granby, Mo., on a charge of one count of theft of property valued between $1,000 and $5,000, a Class D felony.

According to a probable cause affidavit sworn by Detective Cpl. Jacob Higdon of the department’s Criminal Investigation Division (CID), the arrest occurred Nov. 29. On that date McDonald reportedly entered the local Wal-mart Super Center. While she was there, a store employee allegedly observed her to select and then conceal store merchandise.

McDonald allegedly failed to pay for the merchandise, valued at $1,868.52, before attempting to exit the store. As she tried to do so, the store employee stopped her.

McDonald was held in the Greene County Detention Center (GCDC) on a $10,000 bond.

In the other incident, police arrested William M. Lucas, 39, of Paragould, on a charge of one count of terroristic threatening, a Class D felony; as well as misdemeanor charges.

According to a probable cause affidavit sworn by Detective Cpl. Tron Beesley of CID, the arrest took place as a result of information detectives received Sept. 14 regarding a threat Lucas allegedly made to his wife. At that time they received an audio/video recording which reportedly featured Lucas making threats to kill her.

According to information from the GCDC, Lucas was booked into that facility on Nov. 29.
