Powhatan Historic State Park will host a Historic Toys and Games Creation Station today from 1 p.m.-3 p.m. and May 29 from 9 a.m.-11 a.m. at the Powhatan Courthouse, located at 4414 Highway 25.
Attendees will learn what kids did for fun during Arkansas’s earlier history as they create some old-time fun in the great outdoors.
Participants will be guided in making two historic pastimes and learn about the many games played in historic Powhatan.
This program is a part of Powhatan’s Living History Academy, a program designed to introduce younger audiences to historic learning experiences that they help bring to life.
Cost is $5 per person. All supplies are provided, and pre-registration is required as a limited number of spaces are available. To register, call the park at 870-878-6765 or email powhatan@arkansas.com.
COVID-19 safety guidelines are in effect for staff and guests’ safety. Space is limited.

The Harvey’s Chapel Decoration Day service will be held in Marmaduke on Sunday, May 16, beginning at 10:30 a.m. Bro. Dave White will be the speaker.
Lunch fellowship will be held from noon to 1:30 p.m. The afternoon service will begin at 1:30 p.m.
Gloryland Quartet will be the featured singers in the afternoon.

The Greene County Job Fair will be held Tuesday, May 18, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Paragould Community Center. The event is free.
