Two people are facing court dates after their arrest this week on suspicion of drug charges.
Summer Lea Shepherd, 34, of Paragould was arrested May 8 on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance (felony), possession of drug paraphernalia (felony) and absconding while Gerald Lane Timmons, 25, of Paragould was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance (felony).
According to a probable cause affidavit, Paragould police saw Shepherd in the 3400 block of Linwood Drive after finding out she had an active warrant through Arkansas Probation and Parole.
“After contacting Summer, she admitted to being in possession to several items of drug paraphernalia, as well as some methamphetamine. Summer directed officers to the door of her vehicle, where they located the paraphernalia and methamphetamine,” Paragould police said in the affidavit. “Officers located approximately 2 grams of methamphetamine, a marijuana pipe, a marijuana grinder, and a small plastic container which contained a small amount of methamphetamine.”
Shepherd was being held Wednesday in the Greene County jail, awaiting a court date.
As for Timmons, Paragould police said they made contact with him after seeing Shepherd.
Timmons and Shepherd were seen in a car together, as well as sitting together outside Kum & Go in the 3400 block of Linwood Drive, Paragould police said.
“During this time, Timmons was found to be on parole with a search waiver on file. An officer conducted a search of his person, and located a small Ziploc bag containing approximately 1 gram of a white crystalline substance (methamphetamine) inside his wallet,” Paragould police said in a probable cause affidavit.
A $20,000 bond was set for Shepherd and a $10,000 bond was set for Timmons, police said Wednesday.
Both Shepherd and Timmons are being held in the Greene County jail, awaiting a court date in the case.
