Louie Ray Boozer was born on May 3, 1944 to Ovel and Mary Boozer. He was a member of Brown’s Chapel Baptist Church and he went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, February 21, 2021 surrounded by family and friends. Louie married the love of his life “his Sandy” on July 23, 1965 sharing 55 years together filled with laughter, love, and just enough hard times to keep them rooted and holding to their faith. He must be remembered NOT for the suffering he endured, but for his infectious smile that could light up the darkest room and for his uncanny ability to make you laugh even at the most inappropriate times. He loved life. He loved to laugh. He loved playing music. When asked what his greatest accomplishment was, his response was starting a family. He proudly stated that decision brought him 5 grandsons AKA … Pawpaw’s Boys. He felt blessed and often spoke how proud he was of each one. He’d say “not a cull in the bunch” and give you a thumbs up.

Louie was preceded in death by his parents; one brother: Leonard Boozer and one sister: Wilma Copeland.

This loving husband, beloved daddy and adored pawpaw is survived by his wife: Sandra Boozer; two daughters: Tammy (Mike) Edwards of Paragould, Amy (Richard) Jackson of Paragould, 5 grandsons: Wesley (Sara) Edwards of Paragould, Justin (Anna) Edwards of Cabot, Cole Edwards of Paragould, Ryan Jackson, and Brandon Jackson of Paragould; a niece: Janie (Jim) Hudson of Paragould and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday February 25, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Brown’s Chapel Baptist Church. Funeral Services will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Royce Boling officiating. Burial will be held at Brown’s Chapel Cemetery. Mitchell Funeral Home of Paragould is in charge of the arrangements.
