Noel Wayne Garman, 89, passed away on Tuesday, April 27, 2021.

He was born Sept. 14, 1931, to Gorden and Eva Garman. He was a Korean War Army veteran. After retiring in California, Noel moved back to Arkansas, where he greatly enjoyed the rest of his retirement in his home state. He was a dedicated member of the New Covenant Worship Center and drove the children’s bus for 12 years. Above all, Noel was a dedicated husband.

Noel was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Sharon Davis; brother, Verlon Garman; and sister, Vivian Bass.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Katherine Garman; son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Patty Garman; stepchildren, John Thomas and Diane Kinder, Mary Ingels and Liz Kinder; grandchildren, Nicole and Jeff; step-grandchildren, Tawny, Holly, Cody and Rex; and a number of great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends today, May 1, from noon. until service time at Phillips Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. with Larry Bulla officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery in Bono.
