Etta Faye Matheney, 85, of Paragould departed this life on Thursday, July 23, 2020 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Etta was born on January 28, 1935 in Clay County, Arkansas to the late Archie and Martha Jane (Edwards) Kennedy.

Mrs. Matheney was a manager for 10 years at Arnolds Music Store in Jonesboro before becoming co-owner of Crown Signs with her husband. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of Shiloh Methodist Church.

Survivors include her loving husband of 67 years, Feris Vondal Matheney of the home; two sons, Tony (Belinda) Matheney of Paragould and Duncan Matheney of Hot Springs, Arkansas; grandchildren, Joshua (Michele) Matheney, Kristin (Shawn) Bendele, Stephanie (Adam) Burnette, Jason (Chanda) Matheney; great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Matheney, Dane Bendele, Jaden Matheney, Luz Matheney, Caleb Matheney and Kaylee Burnette; sisters, Bonnie (Harold) Fisk, Loretta (Jack) Patton, Jolene (Oral) Moore, Judy (Rick) Jones.

Pallbearers will be Jason Matheney, Joshua Matheney, Shawn Bendele, Terry Combs, Ted Schug and Terry Schug.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2020 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Mitchell Funeral Home in Paragould. Funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM at Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Larry Hughes officiating. Burial will follow at Shiloh Cemetery.
