Willie Gene Williams, 86, of Paragould departed this life on July 19, 2020 at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould. He was born on January 19, 1934 in Paragould, Arkansas to the late Willie Otis Williams and Demonra Fielder Williams.

Mr. Williams was a member of the Westview Baptist Church in Paragould, retired from the United States Army Corps of Engineers after 33 years and served as Greene County Judge from 2003-2004. He was a private pilot for 70 years, earning the nickname “Sky King”. Mr. Williams was an avid fisherman, duck hunter, deer hunter and golfer. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Ricky Lee Williams.

Survivors include, his loving wife, Faye Evelyn (Toombs) Williams of the home; two sons, David Alan Williams (Susan) of Paragould and William Robert Williams (Deborah) of Fulshear, Texas; one daughter, Dr. Brittany Rhoades (Tim) of Richmond, Texas; two sisters, Pat Case (Roger) of Hot Springs, Arkansas and Peggy Kelley (Jerry) of Hot Springs; three grandchildren, Seth Williams, Sydney Devine and Elijah David Williams; and three great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Carter, Gerald Clark, Dean Carlton, Bennie Robertson, Tommy Cross, Levi Pillow and Jerry Messer.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Mitchell Funeral Home in Paragould. A graveside service will be on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at 12:30 PM at Mt. Zion Cemetery with Dr. Marc Reeves officiating.
