Robert M “Bob” Morris Sr, 85, went to be with the Lord on Monday, Dec. 14, 2020.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Frances Ann Morris; son, Robert M. “Robbie” Morris Jr. and sisters, Jan Morris Hill and Patricia Morris Lewis.

He is survived by his loving daughters, Sharon K. (Casey) Fisher of N. Ft. Myers, Fla., and Teressa G. (Brian) Duncan of Paragould; and one brother, Herschel (Karen) Morris of Rockford, Ill.

Bob had four grandchildren that he loved dearly, Jennifer (Terry) Walker, Brady Duncan, Nicholas Fisher and Tanner Duncan. He was blessed with five great-grandchildren; and five nieces and nephews.

He was the kindest, most gentle and forgiving man you would ever have the pleasure of knowing and will be missed by all that knew him. He was a member of East Side Baptist Church for over 20 years. He loved his Sunday School class, Home Bound Ministries and Senior Adult trips. He was a past member of the South Greene County Fire Department, where he volunteered and served as a commissioner for many years and served our country in the United States Air Force.

Graveside service will be held at Woods Chapel Cemetery on Thursday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. with pastor Jason Noel officiating. Visitation will be held at the cemetery from 1:30 p.m. until service time for those who would like to attend.

Honorary pallbearers are Alton Barnett, Dub Cole, Gary Eaker, Vernon Sanders, JW Dial, Phil Cable, Tommy Jumper, Mack Hester and all of the men of his ESBC Sunday school class.
