Tom Franzen age 72, of Paragould passed from this life December 30, 2020 from complications due to COVID 19.
He was the son of Wayne and Lucile Yeoman Franzen of Stuttgart, AR, where he lived until he moved to Jonesboro, AR to attend college at ASU. After receiving his Masters Degree in Agriculture, he married Carolyn Lange on June 30, 1974 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lafe, AR, her hometown.
Tom is survived by his wife, Carolyn of 46 years and one son, Kyle Edward Franzen, also of Paragould. He is also survived by one Brother Jerry Franzen and his family of Houston, TX.
Tom loved spending time outdoors hunting, fishing and being with friends who enjoyed nature. He also loved having lunch with his special group of guys and talking politics.
He spent over 40 years as a Manager and Salesman in the farm chemical business in Missouri, Arkansas and Mississippi. He received many awards and special recognition for his work in the field of Agriculture, but most of all he made friendships that lasted throughout his life.
He also particularly valued moving to Paragould and spending his retirement years with family and hanging out on the Lange Family Farm.
Tom will be laid to rest at Greene County Memorial Gardens following Visitation from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. and Funeral at 12:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lafe, AR.
