The Greene County Historical and Genealogical Society has recently received a grant from the Arkansas Heritage Foundation which allowed our society to receive funding for materials to be used in our research center and the basement of the old courthouse in Greene County, Arkansas.

We received funding to purchase large archival map boxes, storage boxes, plastiklips and 1 1/2-in binders for use at our research center. From Global Industries we purchased two fellows Carbon air purifiers for the research center. We also purchased a small sturdy step ladder to help with filing in the basement of the old courthouse. Our society is cataloging and indexing records from the basement to make them easier to research and find.

We are a small group of volunteers who enjoy history and genealogy, as we devote our time and energy to preserve these records for the future generations.

Thank You,

Kaye Holmes
