The Greene County Tech senior girls’ soccer team finished as runners-up in the Lady Ram Invitational hosted by Paragould over the weekend.
The Lady Eagles finished regulation in the championship game deadlocked with Jonesboro, 0-0.
An overtime of penalty kicks determined the winner with Jonesboro coming out on top, 3-1.
GCT went 3-0 in pool play to advance to the finals.
The Lady Eagles defeated Cave City 3-0 on Friday night. Bailey Reddick scored two goals, and Mackenzie Souers added one for GCT.
Drawing the early game on Saturday, the Lady Eagles defeated Marion 9-0 during the 8 a.m. contest.
Two players recorded hat tricks for GCT, as Souers scored four goals and Reddick hit three. Zoe Abbott and Hannah Davis had one each to round out the scoring.
In the final game of pool play, GCT beat Batesville 3-0, with Reddick recording two goals and Souers scoring one.
Gabby Lincoln and Davis handled duties in the goal throughout the tournament with a clean sheet through regulation of all four games.
The Greene County Tech boys were also in tournament action playing in the Raider Invitational hosted by Nettleton High School.
The Eagles lost a first-round game to eventual tournament champions Searcy, 4-0, on Friday night to send them to the consolation side of the bracket.
Saturday, the Eagles went 2-0 to take fifth place in the tournament.
Greene County Tech soccer will travel to Valley View this evening, with the junior varsity boys playing at 4 p.m., followed by varsity girls and varsity boys.
