Crowley’s Ridge Women’s Basketball hit the road for their first overnight trip of the season on Friday, Nov. 18, to travel to Huntsville, Alabama. There, the Lady Pioneers would take on the Lady Ambassadors of Oakwood University Saturday, Nov. 19. The Lady Pioneers, on a two game win streak, shot a season low field goal percentage in the matchup, this performance would doom the Pioneers in a one point defeat, snapping the streak in a 48-47 loss to Oakwood University.

Quarter one, CRC would give the Lady Ambassadors some freebies by producing three turnovers early on. CRC’s defense picked up the slack and ended the first quarter of play, trailing by just three after a buzzer-beating layup by Oakwood set them ahead 14-11. Freshmen Brinley Morgan and Sierrah Floyd both found the basket from behind the arc, leading the offense with three points each.
