Marmaduke Swim Team kicks off season in Pocahontas

Pocahontas High School hosted a swim meet last week. It was the first meet of the season for the Marmaduke High School Swim Team. Many of the swimmers had personal best times from the previous season. Pictured in front are Nathanael Adams and Riley Parker. Pocahontas High School hosted a swim meet Nov. 12.

In the Men’s division, the boys placed second overall. Other visiting teams were Greene County Tech, Pocahontas, and Brookland.

Luke Foster placed first in the men’s 400 Meter Freestyle with a personal best time of 6:46.04 and he placed 2nd in the 200 Meter IM with a personal best time of 3:33.31.

Riley Benson placed third in the men’s 100 Meter Backstroke with a personal best time of 1:42.77 and he placed seventh in the men’s 50 Meter Freestyle.

Nathanael Adams placed sixth in the men’s 50 Meter Freestyle, also having a personal best time, and fifth in the men’s 100 Meter Breaststroke.

Kristian Glover placed seventh in the women’s 50 Meter Freestyle and sixth in the women’s 100 Meter Freestyle.
