With the fall portion of the season over, Coach Carissa Winnhas takes a few steps onto the recruiting trail by signing McNairy Central (Tennessee) High School’s Alexis Weirich.

The 5-10 outside hitter averaged eight kills per set in her senior campaign for the Bobcats. Also a force from the service line, Weirich notched 64 service aces.

Weirich has collected many accolades in her prep career beginning with MCHS’s Outside Hitter of the Year and Blocker of the Year in her freshman campaign. She garnered All-District honors in her sophomore, junior, and senior years. In her 2019 season, Weirich was named to the All-West Tennessee team.

Most recently, Weirich represented the Volunteer State in the 2020 Down Under Games held in Australia.

“Alexis is a strong athlete that will bring more power and height to our front row,” Coach Winn says of her new signee. “She has a high volleyball IQ and we are excited to have her as a part of our program.”
